Western Carolina ENT Center for Hearing is proud to announce that they are now a provider of the Earlens® Contact Hearing Solution, the world’s first and only hearing solution to directly vibrate the eardrum. Earlens delivers more complete sound than any acoustic hearing aid, and a bandwidth that is associated with more natural sound quality and better hearing in noisy situation. With Earlens, a processor worn behind the ear sends an audio signal through the ear tip to a custom lens that rests directly on the eardrum. When the eardrum receives the signal, it gently vibrates the eardrum to activate the ear’s natural hearing system. Dr Wenzel and Dr. Lee believe this technology is a

transformative hearing product. Earlens was recently named a top 100 Invention for 2020 by TIME Magazine. For that reason, we are excited to add this new system to our clinic offerings.
